Article Review: Physicians nowadays have been paid depending on how many patients they see  and how many procedures they perform rather than on the quality of service they  provide to their patients. This system made physicians aim at increasing the  quantity of their customers rather than improving the quality of their work.  Hence, all the recent published data revealed a suboptimal medical care.Therfore  Medicare under a federal law have set a new program called PQPI, which will  measure health care providers performance and quality care provided to patients.  This new program has been implemented during the summer, and under it, health  care providers will be paid according to quality and value and their performance  will be publicly reported on the Internet so the patients can choose the best health  care providers.  However, no matter how fancy this program sounds to be, it has its land mines.
