NURSING 2 Managing the health care system entails several responsibilities that include dealing with staff, meeting new patients and their families and getting to know whether every individual in the medical field is satisfied with the services offered or not. Such responsibilities are useful aspects that require professional managers to practice effective communication skills and virtues in handling the matters that arise. This role can be demanding and cannot be dealt with by everyone, since the person in charge is accountable for everything that takes place in and about the medical segment that they are held responsible for. One therefore, needs to be understanding, should be a good listener and needs to offer appropriate advice and correct solutions for the problems in question (Taylor, 2010). Communication is therefore, the important factor in establishing any working relationships with employees and the clients. Having such discussions concerning the health of the patients with the patient and their families gives them the opportunity to reflect on their lives and get to inquire more from the medical practitioners about the areas concerning their health. Having involved communications with the employees can arise in instances where the staff, that is the doctors and nurses among others are not satisfied concerning their working conditions such as low pay, less staff or hazardous working places. Ensuring that everything in the hospital runs smoothly as a leader begins with being able to solve the problems facing the employees. Some of these problems can be beyond the leader’s reach and hence, the leader needs to make sure that he or she is able to explain to the employees whatever the situation is in a manner that they will understand and be able to live with the challenge. Effective leadership means being considerate and caring concerning the welfare of the employees. The manager needs to know that success in the medical sector starts with the employees who need to be motivated so that they can be able to perform their tasks effectively. Therefore, such difficult conversations, no matter how hard they are, are essential towards

NURSING 3 ensuring success in any given business. To the clients, who are the patients, importance of having such difficult conversations with them enables the medical practitioners to meet the needs of the patients through providing vital information concerning their health and giving solutions to the problems at hand (Liben, Hain & Goldman, 2012). The knowledge allows the patient to understand their health conditions, be satisfied and respond to treatment effectively without any stress or depression. Such practice in hospitals offers organizational success such that the hospital’s leadership and management in nursing become highly rated by the clients. This virtue
