Gap is ranked top among the world’s largest shoe and clothing retailers who have come up with social responsibility programs that stand for individual rights as a significant factor in supply chain management and quality/standards management. As a customer, I am impressed by the efforts that Gap has put forth to have more worker friendly suppliers. This is because by having this kind of vendors, it is easy for them to create a rapport with the company and the customers. The customers are, therefore, more likely to get the good quality products they require and at affordable prices which might keep them coming for more goods from the company. In addition to the Gap reconnoitered issues on health, wage and safety of its workers, there are other issues that Gap should explore in order to meet the best working conditions for their employees.
