LEADERSHIP 2 A leader achieves success at work when he or she draws on personal core values and abilities that operate in a framework in their states of mind, and this perspective is what is referred to as the fundamental state of leadership. A leader’s self-reflection aids in fostering the change in the organization by promoting a leader’s ability to think through a challenging situation thoroughly and coming up with the right solutions to such challenges. Therefore, the fundamental state requires one to be able to think beyond that state where they tend to stay within their comfort zones and let the external factors rule over their decisions and behaviors. This state is the normal state where several leaders, even those who are perceived to be performing well, are dwelling.
