VIDEO ANALYSIS 2 The customers in sports industry have let the leagues, teams, shareholders and teams to advertise their products, brand names and engage their fans in several diverse ways. From technological advancements such as web trafficking, email marketing, social media engagement among other digital promotions, the panel in the video examined the origin, growth, and development of sports marketing. Most of the analysis and examination based on how the behavior of fans and the various innovations in technology brought impacts and created new opportunities for commercialization in the current and rapidly changing digital world. The panel talks about using data to engage better the fans to accelerate the growth of the organization, which is being driven by digital advancement. The two parts involved in data use to engage fans are organizational structure and use of tactics to execute the activities of the organization. In organizational structure, the advent of digital challenges the structure of the organization such that if the top leaders in the organization do not incorporate technology into their business, then they are likely to become extinct. Tactically and exceptionally organizing the business creates efficiency and skill, which requires data to predict and allocate resources accordingly. Data can also be used to do one on one marketing rather than mass media marketing hence the organization can directly engage the public. The data provides information on who the target groups are, how to approach them and what will be achieved from the direct interactions with the target group.
