DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS 2 A database management system (DBMS) is a software application, which, works together with the user, the database itself, and other applications to capture the data and analyze it. A data bank includes organized data collections, the assemblage of questions, reports, views and other objectives. These data are arranged in models that encompass different aspects of authenticity in a way that supports processes that need information. An all-around DBMS is designed in a way that allows the definitions, creation, update and administration of databases. Some examples of DBMSs include Oracle, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL (Coronel & Morris, 2016). Formally, the database was a set of related data describing its organization. The access to these data is always provided by the database management system that consists of an integrated set of software that allows interactions, however, these interactions may have restrictions that bar access to given sets of data. The database management system offers several functions that allow data definition, entry, storage, update, retrieval of large quantities of information and gives ways of managing and organizing information. Due to the close relationship between the DBMS and the database, the term database is often used to refer to both cases. Therefore, both the database and its DBMS follow the principles of an individual database model; hence, all the three make up a database system.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
