PRODUCT LIABILTY 2 Lawsuit against the Manufacturers A manufacturer can be held liable in the case where the product they manufactured is said to be defective. Such cases can arise when the product design is defective, manufacturing defects, failure to warn or provide adequate instructions on how to handle the product, and failure to follow the adequate procedures when assembling the equipment. Therefore, the manufacturers of the product are always answerable and responsible for any injuries that the sport equipment they manufacture causes (Allee, Mayer, and Patryk, 2016). Manufacturing defects are those that arise during the process of manufacturing the product, which involve poor quality of materials or substandard workmanship. Defects that arise from failure to give warning on the equipment that possess dangers despite how well the product is manufactured are considered as a breach of law by the manufacturer.
