Surname 1 Name: Instructor: Course: Date: Religion and Theology: Jehovah Witness Religious Practices The service took place on 17 April 2016, 9 am at Washington town the main hall, the local organization is known as Kingdom seekers and believers who belong to Jehovah Witness religious tradition. However, I am a Muslim, who believes and consciously follows Islam, I worship at Mubarak Mosque, and we worship Allah. Our core beliefs about the afterlife, the prophets and God fall under six main categories which include faith in God’s unity, the prophets, the life after death, divine decree and the angels. Also, a typical verbal declaration of belief in the core beliefs is not enough; this is because believing in Allah requires obedience and dedication to serving Him always. Therefore, our concept of worship is wide, and we consider all our day-to-day activities as acts of worship guided by the formal acts of worship that strengthen our faith; these acts are almsgiving, prayer, hajj, the testimony of faith and fasting. My choice to attend the Jehovah Witness service was due to my drive to get to experience the facts about this religion, after having read a lot about them, their religious beliefs, marriage life among other practices. A church elder known as Kelly led the service that took place in the hall which to them, the building whether hired or not is referred to as the kingdom hall. Surname 2 no architectures or any religious arts, and there was a lectern where the evangelist stood while he carried on his sermon, at the lectern was a movable stand covered in white clothing with a bible over it. The other church members are arranged in rows immediately after the podium; their seats are also covered with white clothing and at the end of each column, there was an offering basket, and at the door were the ushers who guided members to their seats as they walked in.
