2.1 Overview of the Chapter
The chapter will include previous research papers which have been explored on the basis
of research objectives designed in the previous chapter. The chapter will be the foundation for
the next chapter so that the methods can be designed accordingly to reach the desired conclusion.
This chapter will be providing insights regarding simulation modelling in emergency
departments to reduce the patient stay at the hospital, to improve the patient experience in the
emergency department of the hospital, to have an overview about numeric parameters and
quality indicators at the emergency department of the hospital, and to reduce patient time at the
trauma centre and emergency department of the hospital by the simulation model.
