Social deviant, constructivist, realist, and rational choice argument. Facts = evidence, but facts must be put into a theoretical context in order to have meaning and be relevant for the argument. PRODUCTION: Social Deviance Argument Are you deviant or not? If you are, you will violate the norms of society. Illegal drugs are illegal because the norm of society is that these drugs are too dangerous to be legal. When do you get production? When people are deviant, if they are not deviant, they wont produce the illegal drugs. Deviance is not evil in the social deviant argument, the social deviant is a rational being who wants to be successful, but for a variety of reasons they cannot succeed playing by the rules so they create different rules (they still abide by some rules) but not the same rules of normal society. Deviants are constrained by a set of rules that allows them to have a stable and successful life in another arena. If you are deviant you produce, if you are not deviant you do not produce. If you cure the deviant, they won’t engage in deviant behavior anymore. Alleviate the flaw that is causing them to engage in deviant behavior. Policies come out of the logic of the argument.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
