CAT Topic 2 DQ 2 (Obj. 2.1)CATs please respond for participation! What are some psychological effects on a client with the wrong test results? If a client is misdiagnosed or given the wrong tests results, this can cause various devastatingconsequences. This includes the client being confused, taking incorrect medications, theircondition could become worse, and their symptoms will become harsher (Rozental et al.,2016). All this can lead the client to develop anxiety, depression, and other mental/emotionalissues. Other psychological effects can include a decreased quality of life, dependency, stigma, hopelessness, failure within their life and or employment, unpleasant memories, stress, and fear (Rozental et al., 2016). This will lead to the client to have little faith in theircounselor, which will affect the treatment and therapeutic relationship. Building a positiverapport through verbal and nonverbal communication is essential to the therapeuticrelationship. It is important to the effectiveness of the counseling strategies and alignment ofthe theories and goals set out by the client (Jones-Smith, 2019).
