This has never been done before. * Aristotle (384-322 BCE) was a keen natural scientist he arranged organisms in terms of complexity in a ladder like manner where inanimate matter was the lowest. It was called the great chain of life Scala Naturea. * Recognised that live birth was important . * First to recognise the complexity of life and try to write down the relations. *Theophrastus (371-287 BCE) Successfully classified plants It was very important as plants were used for a variety of very important things such as medicine textiles ect.. *Some initial definitions about naming *Classification *Taxonomy : *Types of Taxonomies: *Folk: Earliest form of taxonomies before literacy e.g Shamens, First Nation elders ect….
