There are many religions in this world that we live in. There are many that can be alike and also many that differ from each other. In today’s world there are many religions that share similar practices and beliefs. This paper will examine characteristics of Buddhism. Buddhism When it comes to Buddhism, it is known as an ancient religion that began in India. Siddhartha Gautama, is known as a “mortal prince born miraculously to Maya who was kept from all the evil and misery of the world throughout his youth” (Siddhartha Gautama,” 1996). Siddhartha wasn’t allowed to leave the royal grounds, but he did. His punishment was given by the father and sent to a town nearby when he discovered the four passing sights. The Four Passing Sights involved an old man, an ill man, and a corpse that was being used for cremation.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
