One of the options is compulsory.EXPECTATIONS:1.PART A -Choose and read your text from the list provided (use annotated notes)2.PART B -Conference3.PART C -Complete Connection 1 (Text-to-text connection)4.PART D -Complete Connections 2-4PART A READ AND KEEP ANNOTATED NOTESWhile reading your novel take detailed notes using the headings in the template providedduring the semester. Be sure to record brief chapter summaries (point form), descriptionsand details of information relevant to the developing themes, motifs (a repeatedpattern/image/idea), character development, setting, imagery, symbolism, archetypes,diction, and anything else you find interesting.Include direct quotations that may be useful.Use the organizer provided or create your ownPART B - CONFERENCEWe will meettwiceto discuss your progress, and ideas for your tasks. Refer to the“Conference Organizer” to help you plan your ideas and to prepare for the connectionstasks.PART C & D: TASK OPTIONSHaving read your novel, chooseTWOof the four options below.Option #1 iscompulsory.Both of your tasks must be submitted as audio, visual, and writtencomponents.Consider using PowerPoint, Google Slides, Youtube video, or any otheronline presentation platform or App.CONNECTION 1: Text-to-Text (Compulsory)Compare and contrast your text with another text(s) that you have studied in our class,another class, or read on your own.You can find connections based on: characters andevents, themes, conflicts, story type, or anything else.
