Anastasios Pappas Instructor Pete Howard Writing 102 October 12 2007 W.C.694 The main thing that separates humans from the rest of the species found on this earth is their ability to create tools to assist them in everyday life. The basic necessities of life are within an arms length of reach as most people on this world have food, shelter, and clothing thanks to the efficiency of new technology. Human dependency on technology has become almost pathetic because it tends to spoil the ones who use it. While technology has so far benefitted humans, when does it cross the line that makes the negatives outweigh the positives? While technology has helped cure, treat, and prevent many diseases which have helped human health, it has also brought one of the most common diseases known to mankind today. Obesity is at an all time high here in the United States and is one of the leading causes of death.
