The differences between management and leadership has become more apparent as I have worked at multiple places. Before even reading this material I had an idea of what makes a leader different from a manager and this material had just strengthened my idea of leadership. In my past experiences I have worked for people who were managers that lacked much of the leadership skills they really needed. They did not lead by example and expected us to do things exactly how we were told and they would break the rules to do things their own way. In my new job the manager has great leadership skills and does things to set good examples. Their title is even Team Leader instead of Manager. This dynamic between the leader and our staff is much better and I think that in this situation ditching the word manager really is a great way to describe their job. Problem Solving can be a problem in many cases because people will often not even know where to start to solve a problem. Identifying the problem is something that needs to happen before any actual problem solving can happen.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
