If you talk to a handful of people about it, you will likely get a handful of responses. My peers, for example, see it as a casual, normal, positive thing. Some of them use it and some of them do not. Among those that use the pill, I would say half of them are on it for reasons relating to their periods while the other half are using it because they are sexually active, and personally I use it for both. My parents, though, while they are aware that I am on it, do not encourage it for multiple reasons. My mothers main concern is how it might affect my health in the long run if I remain on it. Since my parents are strongly Christian, they also see it as something that can encourage sinful behavior in the form of sex before marriage. So what is the big deal about this pill?
