Kalkita Dodson ECE 101 Journal Week 1 I have chosen the topic of Technology and Young Children. In our world today, our children are more heavily depended on technology. Technology tools that they are acceptable to are computers, multi touch- screens, tablets, mobile devices, interactive whiteboards, VCRs, microscopes, VHS tapes, record and cassette tapes, projectors, and light tables. There are many schools today that have access to most if not all of these digital devices. While these technological tools are, so readily available, our children are spending more and more time in front of all these different screens. There are have been many pros and cons about technology in childcare setting, Our care givers are instructed to giving our children about 30 minutes per week while parents are urged to give their children about 2 hours per day. Technological devices should only be used for educational and developmental activities and they should deem appropriates for the child’s age.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
