Tasha GravelEDUC 2110Final Writing AssignmentSmaller class sizes have been shown to significantly increase student learning. Largeclass sizes provide a problem since it is difficult to focus on specific students who are havingtrouble or who are prepared to move on to the next level. In smaller classes, students frequentlyperform better. Smaller class sizes offer the chance for individualized attention and extrainstructional assistance as needed. Reducing class size improves overall student attainment, particularly for younger, less advantaged students, according to numerous studies. The advantages of reduced class sizes are numerous. One of them is that they interactwith the teacher more and get more individualized attention. Students now have the option tolearn at a speed that suits them. Additionally, it gives teachers more freedom to choose from avariety of pedagogical methods. It has also been demonstrated that smaller groups of students are less disruptive to oneanother than larger ones. Because of this, the kids have the chance to learn as much as they can, which is normally not possible in classes with more than 20 people.
