Executive Summary One of the greatest viable benefits a company can enjoy is a unique design method and a good management system. In the sportswear industry, the two best example is Nike and Adidas. Both companies are well recognized sportswear companies that have leading brand names in the market all over the world. Professional sports teams, school teams and sportswear industries can expect the best quality of products and services from these two brands that will continue to prosper in their status of being the two best companies leading in the sports industry. Nike is a United States global manufacturing company that was founded by Bill Bowerman in January 25, 1964. while Adidas an international firm was founded in Germany by Adolf Dassler August 18, 1949 (Difference between Nike and Adidas, 2010). Both companies being the heavyweights in the sporting industry, with a wealth of international sporting stars brandishing their boots, shirts and socks, the Nike swoosh tick and the Adidas trademark three stripes will continue to increase in popularity and in fans as well (Marketwired 2014 ). Business Problem Review The present manufacturing methods of the footwear industry particularly companies like Adidas and Nike takes place all over the world. With the severe competition the industry is facing now, both companies are fighting so hard to increase their profit margins through their sourcing methods.
