Your answer should take into account Tocqueville's discussion of the meaning of citizenship (for example, his account of the role of civil associations), Tichenor's examination of the historical context of those debates, and "Farmingville’s” and Boyle's juxtaposition of differing perspectives on these issues. II. Discuss the question of whether the historical changes in immigration policy in America, which Tichenor addresses, indicate that the framers' constitutional design is working as intended or not?
