Aral #7: Do not waste thy time: wealth can be recovered but not time lost.
A. Category
Since it teaches us to value time, this rule is morally upright. Nobody can escape
the passage of time. Time will never stop, regardless of how much you might like
it. It will keep going. Despite being outdated, this belief is still valid. Only one
chance is given to you by time, therefore you must use it wisely. Once lost, a
moment cannot be recovered. The passage of time cannot be reversed.
B. Context
The value of time cannot be overestimated. Any material item can be purchased or
produced but time wasted is time lost. This is why it is important to treasure time
rather than worrying about anything that is lost. Time is a valuable resource that
everyone must recognize we frequently concentrate on worrying about various
material things. The one thing you can never get back is time. There's nothing you
can do to stop it from passing or make it move more slowly after it's done. Every
second counts because every second of your life matters. Even if we can't predict
what the future may hold, we know that everything goes on. People who succeed
do not waste time. Everybody's definition of success is going to be different.
Nevertheless, some time-wasting behaviors prevent you from achieving any kind
of success in life, regardless of how you define it. If you have healthy habits,
you're more likely to achieve meaningful goals.
