Willis Thai EN1014 10/12/06 “People Say Many Stereotypes Because I’m Asian, But My Experience Says That Like All Stereotypes, They’re Wrong” People say many stereotypes because I’m Asian, but my experience says that like all stereotypes, they’re wrong. Asian stereotypes are ideas held by some individuals about members of the Asian group, and it’s usually negative. Another phrase for this is racial slur. It’s common sense that Asian stereotypes are like all stereotypes. Not all people of a particular group are the same, meaning not all Asians are the same. Some may be so different, that they don’t belong in the group. They may just be in it because of one small characteristic. For me, it’s because I’m Asian. I was born in America and raised in America. Yet, people judge me because I have an Asian face. Many people say that Asians are diligent and smart. They also say that we’re good in math. We ace all the tests we get and finish before everyone else does. They say
