Slide 2The overall topic of this presentation is employee engagement.I’ll discuss four key areas.I’ll review theimpact of employee disengagement on attrition and productivity.I’ll describe two critical factors thatinfluence employee engagement.I’ll identify and describe strategies that can be used to improveemployee engagement.And lastly, I’ll assess the engagement levels of the US employees.Slide 3Several adverse conditions can influence employee engagement.In a VUCA business world, poor leadership is a recipe for disaster.The cost of poor leadership behaviorsis significant to employee engagement.There is a saying that people leave managers, not companies.Treating everyone with respect builds a healthy workplace environment and gives confidence toemployees.Influential leaders are those who spend time championing the culture and values of theorganization and supporting employees.Company culture refers to a company's and its employees' attitudes and behaviors.It encompasses avariety of elements, including the working environment, company mission, leadership style, values, andgoals.Company culture and employee engagement are closely tied together.Employees will most likelybe disengaged if a company’s culture is poor.Engaged employees feel a sense of purpose in their work.Role performance requires individuals to feelsome connection between their work and the more significant meanings and purposes to which theysubscribe.A vital component of a collaborative work environment and work culture is transparency.It helpsemployees feel connected to the workplace and get a sense of job security and keeps them focused onperformance.
