A survey used to help understand if the average GPA ofstudent athletes is higher or the same as non-athletes. This research will inspect thedifference between college athletes and non-athletes GPA after the transition fromhigh school to college. 1Literature ReviewWhile you in college it is a very troubling time with all of the work that you have to do.Itis usually a little easier for a non-athlete to have a higher GPA because of all the free time theyhave. What about the collegiate athletes who have to balance school and their sport? Don’t youthink that it would be harder for them to keep their GPAs up? There has been evidence to provethat this is true.Simons performed a study which was done at a liberal arts college and an IvyLeague school to examine if the athletes in fact did have lower GPAs than those non-athletes.
