Luis Fernandez BIOL 111G Lab Section M13 October 3, 2016 Lab Report: Mammal Skulls Discussions The hypothesis proposed in this experiment was each unique organism has inherited variations in homologous traits that enable the organism to adapt to their environment (Preszle et al., 2014). It was predicted that specialized teeth and eye placement of animals are adapted to different diets and visual perceptions. The results of the drawings and observations support the hypothesis that individual organism have inherited variations in homologous traits to survive in their environment. Also, the illustrations and observations verify the proposed predicted result which assumed that teeth and eye orientation of animal are adapted for different diets and visual perception. This experiment was conducted to determine if there are any skull and teeth features that have adapted to allow organisms to survive in a specific environment. Six different skulls were studied based on their differences and similarities in the structure of homologous traits.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
