Luis Fernandez BIO 111G Lab Section M13 September 19, 2016 Lab Report 3: Inheritance of a Single Trait Results During the laboratory, we counted the number of green and albino seedlings found in the tray. As a class, the information gathered was 91.6 seedlings were green and 18.83 were albino. The predicted results compared to the observed results were roughly close to each other. More specifically, there was a nine-point difference between the two sets of findings. The difference between the two set of values cannot to be greater than 10. Discussion According to the Mendel’s First law, in the course of gamete formation two alleles separate from one another so that each gamete receives only one allele of each gene (Reece et al. 2014). For this experiment, I prepared three possible types of crosses that could produce the seedlings found in the tray of my laboratory. However, only one out of the three possible crosses produced the seedlings from the tray. I came to a conclusion that the only possible cross was a hybrid cross between two heterozygous genotypes. In the F1 generation, alleles segregate

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
