Albrecht von Roon- minister of war appointed in 1859, organized and reformed the army Moltke put into action, encouraged William I to select Otto von Bismarck as the chief minister of Prussia in 1862 d. Otto von Bismarck- born in 1815 to the Junker class who were totally loyal to the house of Hohenzollern, formed the core of the army and civil servants and even dominated all areas of agriculture, was extremely
