Chapter TwoTime is a scarce resource. Time management is the most effective use ofavailable time. Nursing student experience more stress than studentsenrolled in other programs.Nursing is a very demanding job. Nurses canoften feel as though there are no enough hours in the day to complete allrequired tasks.Time management is recognized as an importantcomponent of work performance and professional nursing practice.Nurse’s work not only have tons of things to get done, but also forced tomake some decisions. For that, the importance of time managementstarted.In this chapter and as a completion of our proposal about timemanagement, we decide to review previous studies that talking about timemanagement.(Alyami et al., 2021)Impact of Time-Management on the Student’s AcademicPerformance: A Cross-Sectional Study, The aim of the study was to findthe impact of time management on the academic performance ofstudents among the diagnostic radiology technology students atKAU. This study had a cross-sectional survey-based study design. Itwas conducted among students of diagnostic radiology technologydepartment at King Abdul-Aziz University, 152 students weretargeted among which 142 completed the questionnaire. The studyfound that students agreed that insufficient sleep pattern makestheir feel lazy and they are unable to manage time. Furthermore,majority also believed that the last year had been challenging (dueto covid-19 pandemic) and affected their time (and online learning).The students with positive attitude and who claimed to managetime and meet their deadlines were also had high academic grades.1
(Wuet al., 2020)Contingency nursing management in designated hospitals duringCOVID-19 outbreak,thepurpose of this study was to summarize the role of nursingmanagement in transforming a general hospital into a designated hospital fortreatment of COVID-19 patients. The studyundertook a series of nursing managementmeasures in the strategic phase and the implementation phase. The study result thatthrough a series of nursing management measures, all COVID-19 patients admitted tohospital were cured and discharged. All non-COVID-19 patients and staff hospitalizedduring the same period were not infected with the virus.(Nayak, 2019)Impact of Procrastination and Time-Management on AcademicStress among Undergraduate Nursing Students: A Cross Sectional Study,Thepurpose of this study was to focus on assessing the procrastination, time managementskills and its relationship with academic stress among 201 undergraduate nursingstudents in a private college of South India. This is cross-sectional study .Finding ofstudy showed that there was positive correlation between procrastination andacademic stress , time wasting and academic stress among the undergraduate nursingstudents which is statistically significant at 0.05 level of significance. Study impliesthat helping the undergraduate students for effective time management for reducingthe academic stress and better academic performance is essential.
