Workplace diversity is one of the most
controversial topics in the business
community. It is not only because they are
obliged by law to provide equal
opportunities for their workers, but also
because having a diverse population has
the effect of enhancing the company's
productivity in several ways. Having a
diversity of backgrounds and perspective
workforce can promote better decision-
making, and greater innovation, and help
businesses expand their reach. This may
also help businesses have a better
understanding of specific markets, attract
highly talented people, lower turnover
levels, and increase profits. Therefore,
businesses need to diversify to remain
competitive (Picincu, 2020).
Workplace diversity refers to that all
employees have equal rights and
opportunities, regardless of gender, color,
age, ethnicity, physical abilities, sexual

orientation, religious beliefs, etc. (Stahl,
2021). Today, most companies hire a
diverse workforce for the following
reasons:
• As two humans are alike. People are
different in not only gender, culture, race,
and social and psychological
characteristics but also in their
perspectives, prejudices, and solutions to
problems (Saxena, 2014). Thus, having a
