Jena Losch Sociology 101 TV What Does Your Living Space Say About You? The 37 th  day of Black Rain, 2000 AA (after annihilation): Dear Diary, The storms of black rain are almost over, and I cannot wait to explore outside the commune again! I  think it is ridiculous to keep myself, an 11 year old girl, indoors all the time. It seems that the radioactivity is  down, based on our prized meter. Not many communes even have a meter; anything that is made by one of  the richer factory communes is very expensive and we don't have much to trade them. However, I want to  go outside and see if I can find anything interesting – perhaps some evidence of the civilization that lived in  this very spot thousands of years ago, before the global annihilation. I'm not quite even sure what that  means, “global annihilation,” but I know it has something to do with these grand wars many years ago. My  mother tells me that bad people started the wars, and different groups of people were trying to get lots of  power and wanted all the earth's resources for themselves. And finally, she said the gods got angry and  spread a fire all over the earth. Except I don't think that last part is true: nobody quite knows what  happened and quarrels break out often over this topic. Since we know now to honor the earth and all it  gives us, hopefully the gods will not spread fires and destruction here! I don't think I can stand for any more  days of high radioactivity. .. The 40 th  day of Black Rain, 2000 AA: Dear Diary, I snuck out today to the woods! I found a strange looking place that looks like a sinkhole that the  rains left. The rains are almost gone, so after it dries I will explore it!
