Previous Next How to learn the material 22 1. Read the next Exercise. For example following section 2.4, you will do Exercise 2.4. This should take about 20 minutes. 1. Read the text and listen to the narrated slides up to the point where the Exercise is recommended. This should take about 40 minutes. 1. While listening to the narrated slides, pause after each slide and make notes and list questions. This should add about 30 minutes to step #2. 1. Go to class and ask questions. 1. Complete the Excercise - this takes about 50 minutes. 1. Do your class assignment - this takes about 1 to 3 hours (assuming you have done the above). 1. This sounds easy and takes only about 4 to 6 hours per week outside of class. However it takes discipline to execute, and it has to be repeated continuously!
