Distinguish between endocrine and exocrine glands.       160. Define and give examples of hormones. 161. Differentiate categories/chemical classes of hormones, i.e. steroid,amine 162. Define and give examples of tropic hormones. 163. Describe the mechanism by which protein-type and steroid-type hormones are  recognized by their target cells and how they perform their function. 164. Know the hormones released by the adenohypophysis and the  neurohypophysis, their destination, and actions. 165. Formulate interacting concepts as to how hypothalamus-pituitary and target  glands interrelate and communicate as a (negative) feedback.  166. Describe the action/control of “releasing/inhibiting” hormones. 167.
