I believe that business matters to God for a couple of reasons. First, understanding the reason one is
doing business. This can be looked at in a couple of different avenues. If a person is doing business, why
is one doing the business? Is it to make as much money as possible for personal gain? Is it to make
money for someone else or another organization, for example, doing business to raise money for the less
fortunate? These are the moral questions one must first ask. Secondly, what is it exactly is one
conducting the business they are selling or buying? Is it something that can help move humanity
forward? Is it something that will bear fruit in one's life? The sole purpose of business is for an
organization to make a person’s life easier by selling them a product that will help them currently or in
the future. Duzer states “as stewards of God’s creation, business leaders should manage their businesses
(1) to provide the community with goods and services that will enable it to flourish, and (2) to provide
opportunities for meaningful work that will allow employees to express their God-given creativity”
