Sample Exam 2 Open-Book Problem 2 A clinical study of streptococcal meningitis in infants was conducted. Three groups of infants were identified: (1) Meningitis - the infants in this group showed signs of meningitis; (2) Sepsis - infants in this group had developed a very severe infection throughout the body; and (3) Asymptomatic - this was a control group, consisting of infants who showed no signs of infection. A blood sample was drawn from each infant, and the concentration of a particular antigen was determined. Below are the concentrations in μ g/ml. All 18 infants averaged 1.412 μ g/ml, with a variance of 0.195 (μg/ml) 2 . Test to determine if antigen concentration is the same for all three groups. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
