TESP 4 Final March 18, 2008 Long Answer: 2 Conversion is critical in living the “Christian life” because it is how one truly becomes a Christian person. Although many may call themselves Christians, one can only do so if they deeply believe, accept, and understand all that constitutes Christianity. All of this is only possible through a conversion process. The process of conversion, in the Christian light, is sparked by repentance. This is the first step towards an actual alteration. One must acknowledge the sins he/she has committed and re-consider how he/she is living, thus leading to a burning desire for change. This craving is necessary for the next step: introspection, in which one thoroughly examines their soul to locate where changes must be made. Following one’s contemplations is awareness then decision. During these progressions, one becomes aware of what needs to be modified and chooses how he/she will go about it. Finally, the actual transformation occurs, one has cleansed him/herself and strengthened his/her
