The amount of time lost due to injured or sick employees is problematic for both safety managers and the human resource department. No company is 100% safe but there are procedures that can keep the staff safe and help injured workers return to duty. The article, Working with Industry: Matching The Work With The Worker by Steve McKenny, investigates the relationship of selecting occupational health workers and hiring the right candidate throughout the process. With the training of the management staff, the company has to comply with U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHAs) standards along with their own safety goals. During the creation of the job, the hr manager needs to evaluate the function of the job. The objective of the analysis is to test an individual’s ability to perform work- related tasks (Mckenny, 2000). Within the health field, the technicians have to undergo extensive training in the medical field. Competency job evaluations may contribute to the success of multiple jobs and organizational success (Heneman , 2006).After an on the job
