Project 1 Stage 4 Throughout time people have always wanted to improve their own personal image. Make-up, haircuts, clothes, and other tools to better our looks have been used throughout history to make us look better according to our own standards or that of societies. But now in modern times our technology has advanced. Mankind has developed a method to alter our own body and facial structure to fit our look of preference. Through complex surgery we can use this tool to give us that perfect nose that we have always desired so greatly, or fix the injury done by a horrible automobile accident. Most people in our society today want to be accepted by other people. But it is a sad fact that our culture, especially the Hollywood culture, promotes a superficial view on acceptance. You have to look, talk, and dress a certain way to be considered a part of the "cool" crowd. That is why most celebrities and models have turned to plastic surgery to keep their image. One example is Brazilian model Angela Bismarchi who holds the world record for the most plastic surgeries (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22869127/). She claims that after she had her first child in 1992, she became depressed that her breasts were sagging and had plastic surgery
