Anatomy Exercise VI LAB VI NERVOUS SYSTEM: THE BRAIN Anatomy Lab VI objectives: a. Identify externally and internally visible regions of the cerebral hemispheres, diencephalon, brain stem, and cerebellum. 2. Know the components that make up the cerebral hemispheres, diencephalon, brainstem, and cerebellum. 3. Identify the three meningeal layers and state the function of each 4. Know the site of formation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), its circulation, and drainage. Instructions: I. Using a model of the human brain and the figures in your manual to identify the structures described in the text of your lab manual. You will not be responsible for the functional areas described on p.77 II. Observe the sheep brain at your table, identifying the labeled structures in figures 8b, 8c, 9, and 10 (pp.85-87). You will NOT be cutting or otherwise dissecting. Please be gentle with these brains since they will be used by others. III.
