Immigration Essay 2. Immigration causes more harm then good. Discuss Since immigration started in 1945, over six million people have migrated to Australia. The main reason why many people started to migrate to Australia in 1945 was because of World War II. Today almost a quarter of all Australia’s population (20 million people) was born overseas, which I think is very good for the Australian society. Most of these people come from New Zealand and The United Kingdom. Personally, I think that there are bad a good things about immigration. Some of the bad things about immigration for example are: Migrants from other countries (especially non English speaking countries) would find it exceedingly difficult to find and keep a good job. Most of the jobs on offer would be low paying and not very high class. Also it would be difficult to accustom to the Australian way of life. For example, people from Northern Europe or Canada migrating to Australia would find the heat of our country almost unbearable because of the fact that
