Ernesto Mercedes 4/12/15 AP World History Mrs. Priest Continuities & Changes of The Columbian Exchange During the time 1492 to 1750, the Columbian exchange changed the world because it expanded trading in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. New foods, diseases, and many more things spread through this exchange. However, Spain continues spreading christianity and converts natives to Christians. The dramatic change because of the Columbian Exchange started in 1492 when trade across the atlantic started to spread different diseases, food, and slave trade between the Eastern and Western hemispheres. During this exchange new things spread for example diseases. There were many different diseases that spread around like malaria, smallpox, and sickle cell anemia. Many people didnt have immunity to thiese diseases, like the Natives they had no immunity to smallpox. This changed the world dramatically because it made the
