2 What is a System? > Oxford English Dictionary definition: ± A set or assemblage of things connected, associated, or interdependent, so as to form a complex unity ± A whole composed of parts in orderly arrangement according to some scheme or plan Subsystems > A system can be composed of subsystems where each subsystem is in itself a “system” > Or looking the other way at it: > Systems can be part of supersystems
