Asteroids and meteorites are left over from planet building, so we can study  them to understand what all of the other planets are made of.  Why were metal objects used by primitive people often made out of iron  meteorites? Because the iron in the earth needs to be mined, whereas iron from  meteorites was readily available laying on the ground Where in the solar system is the asteroid belt? The asteroid belt is located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter What is the difference between a meteorite and an asteroid? An asteroid is in outer space, orbiting the sun. A meteorite is a part of a  meteoroid that has survived the trip into earth’s atmosphere to land on the  surface. Explain the meaning of the term thermonuclear fusion. Thermonuclear fusion is the bringing together of the nuclei of atoms with  intense heat. What are the symbols (terms) in Einstein's famous equation E = mc(squared)?
