Archie 1 Raquel Archie Miss Rice Vision Quest November 12, 2016 Interview a Native American Professional Truthfully, I never really asked my mother about her college experience, but I know she did not want to bring up how she struggled in college because she had 2 kids, a job, & night college classes to attend. This interview gave me a more different perspective of how she dealt with a lot of things and to still get through it today. I never really spent a lot of time with my family back home, including my mother. I feel like I should know these questions from the top of my head and I shouldn’t have actually called her to interview her, but this paper makes me feel like I need to talk to her a lot more than I actually am. I am from Pinon, Arizona. I am a full blooded Navajo. I went and took night classes in Chinle High School which is an hour away; starting in August 1993. The classes I took were from Navajo Community College, Tsaile, Arizona. My major or degree was in Elementary Education and then, Special Education. My first year in college was an eye opener.
