Bloomberg Introduction This is a demonstration of equity searches and league tables. ' L ._. ._. ._._._._._._._._._._._,'_.~ Access: Bloomberg terminals are available in the Management Library (Sage Hall), Mann Library and Nestle Library (Statler Hall). The Management Library has a reservation system for Bloomberg (except during the summer). Connecting: If the Bloomberg application is not open, double click the desktop icon. Follow the logon directions .. <ir Click the red key <CONN DEFT> Login using the name and password provided at the terminal site. Frequently, when you come to the Bloomberg terminal a previous search screen is displayed .. <ir Begin typing your commands at the blinking blue cursor and press <GO> .. To go to the home page, type <MAIN><GO> or press red key <CANCEL> .. Capturing data: A Bloomberg academic account does not allow downloading. Most screens can be printed using your Net Print account <ir If you wish to cut and paste information into WORD or EXCEL click and drag to "copy" content Open software of your choosing and "paste" content You can email a screen to your computer .. <ir Type, GRAB and press <GO> .. The Bloomberg message center screen appears. Type, your complete Cornell email address Fill in the subject line, Type, 1 press <GO> Selecting Items from a Menu: Use the mouse to highlight and click Or, type line# and press <GO>. Or, type highlighted mnemonic code preceding choice and press <GO> Navigating the Keyboard: Green keys execute functions <GO> acts as the Enter key .. <HELP> acts as a search engine ..
