HR managers must be able to implement the system they have designed. This assessment requires you to design a performance management system for a section or division in your company or another company and to implement components of the performance management system. Assessment description You are required to work with the Pasifka Petroleum Scenario (simulated workplace environment) to: ● analyse the business and human resource management strategy ● design (or redesign) a performance management system that assists in the delivery of the business and human resource management strategy ● present the performance management system to the management of the business and get support for the implementation of the performance managements system ● implement components of the performance management system in the role of an HR Manager ● Implement manager training regarding the components of the performance management system. Procedure 1. Agree on the organisation to involve with your assessor. If you do not have access to an organisation, the assessor will provide one (or a simulated workplace). 2. Interview: a. Key stakeholders to understand their business strategy.

ii. If the organisation does not have a formal HRM strategy, determine what it should be from interviews with senior management. 3. Complete a stakeholder and risk analysis: a. complete an analysis of key stakeholders and the high impact risks and accompanying risk treatment options b. you will need to review your understanding of the HRM strategy with senior management/key stakeholders c. You will need to review your understanding of the range of employment conditions. 4. Design the performance management system and get it signed- of from senior management/your assessor: a. in addition to the regular procedures incorporated in a performance management system, you will also need to include the following components: i. recruitment and induction ii. job description iii. formal feedback iv. reward and recognition v. Learning and development.
