Module 2 Journal Start the journal as you start the module.  As you go through the module, complete the journal little by little.   Use it as a supplement to your note taking.  It is not best practice to complete this assignment separately.   OPTION 1 Using index cards, create a HAND-WRITTEN flashcard for each of the words from the template below. Write  the term on one side and the definition from your e-text or lessons on the other side. To submit your  flashcards, please line the cards up and take a picture with a camera or phone. Then flip the cards and take  another picture of the back of the cards. Submit the pictures as attachments under 02.00 Journal assessment.  You may need to take several pictures to capture all of the flashcards for credit. OPTION 2 For each term, provide the definition from your e-text or lessons in the course. Then include a memory tip that  will help you remember the definition of each term. You may provide an example, mnemonic, or put the  definition in your own words.   For each person, tell what they are most known for and a memory tip that will help you remember this person.  Please also include the school of thought or the perspective they are most associated with.  For example,  Sigmund Freud is associated with the Psychoanalytic school of thought.   Save your completed file and submit to the 02.00 Journal assignment. See rubric below for grading guidelines. Term Definition or Description How will you remember? (examples from your life  or books, articles, tv,  etc.. or you can put the  definition in your own  words) 1. 1. Nervous System an extensive network of  specialised cells that  carries information to and  from all parts of the body all of the nerves and your  brain 1. 2. Neuroscience a branch of the life  sciences that deals with  the structure & nervous  and the issue especially  focusing on their  relationship. Eric Kandel is an example  of a famous and  successful neuroscientist. 1. 3. Neuron specialised cell in the  nervous system that  receives and sends  messages to the body.  Again, Eric Kandel was  awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology/Medicine for  his research on the  physiological basis of  memory storage in  neutrons 1. 4. Dendrites the part of the neutron that receives messages from  other cells.
