Chp 8- The Great Gatsby 1. Humidor- (n) an airtight container for keeping cigars or tobacco moist. Ex/ He dumped his cigar in the humidor. 2. Indiscernible- (adj) impossible to see or clearly distinguish. Ex/ The indiscernible man was no where to be seen. 3. Settee- (n) a long upholstered seat for more than one person, typically with a back and arms. Ex/ The girl and boy sat on the settee. 4. In cahoots- (idiom) In partners; in league. Ex/ the two partners in crime stayed in cahoots. 5. Divot- (n) piece of turf cut out of the ground by a golf club in making a stroke. Ex/ The golf club made a divot.
