Recently, there has been a dip in profits, necessitating a general overhaul in theorganizational structure. This revision is contained in this strategic plan. Part of the problem includes dwindling market share in the county, apathy among the local population, and lack of a clear communication strategy. The lack of hospice services to provide palliative treatment has angered the local populace. This strategic plan outlines the necessary steps involved in setting upa well-run profitable hospice the hospice would cater for the chronically ill, making their transition to the afterlife as smooth as possible. The hospice will generate some money that will help the agency. Training of staff has been discussed at length in the report. The board of directors, management and nurses will have to be retrained on matters of budget making, billing of patients and public relations with the local people of Hillsboro county.Rewarding of hard working employees and incentives have been pointed out in this document. This will add morale and motivation for the staff of Hillsboro county home health agency both at the Millsboro office and at the newly formed jasper office. Community services offered to the public at no cost greatly benefit the community. With that being said, they should not interfere with the agency core mandate of the agency. All the services have to be evaluated afresh to enable the agency concentrate on its core competencies. This strategic plan is meant to stream line the operations and make the agency profitable in less than a year. This will enable thefirm to provide top notch services to its patients and the community services.
