1 Prof. M. González-Brenes Gender and Economic Development (Writing Intensive) Econ 397W, Section 4 Spring 2007 Final Paper Here are the ground rules: 1. The assignment consists of a short paper (5-7 pages *excluding* cover page and bibliography), where you do the following: (i) Review an article published in an academic journal, related to some aspect of economic development, and (ii) link the content of the article to specific ideas from the class. In order to do this, you need to cite specific parts of the textbook and/or articles from the syllabus in your paper , and use more than one source . You may use your class notes, but you still need to cite specific articles covered in class. 2. Due dates: Submit a full reference of at least one proposed article by Wednesday, April 4th. You must have an approved article by Wednesday, April 11 th . A full draft is due in class on Monday, April 30 th . The final version is due in class on Monday, May 14 th .
